Harvest Moon GB

Harvest Moon GB is the Game Boy version of Harvest Moon GBC, a life simulation RPG where players inherit and restore their grandfather's farm after his death. Choose to play as a boy or girl and name yourself, then select a pet dog or cat. Interact with townspeople such as Nina (botanist at the flower shop) and Eve (at the juice bar), upgrade your house with the carpenter, and raise livestock including cows, chickens, and a blessed cow. Plant crops using the watering can and harvest them seasonally while caring for animals to produce items like butter and cheese. Your performance is evaluated by your grandfather's spirit at the end of each year; the goal is to become a Ranch Master by expanding the farm and animal husbandry. What makes it stand out is its portable charm and simple yet rewarding system on the original Game Boy, with grayscale graphics, easy-to-pick-up mechanics for crop planting and pet care, and an open-ended sandbox where you can play indefinitely or replay for mastery.
