About the Game

Jantaku Boy is a Mahjong board game for the Nintendo Game Boy where you compete against AI or other players in classic tile-matching rounds. Gameplay follows standard rules: each player is dealt 13 tiles privately, draws from a central wall, discards tiles, and aims to form winning hands using pairs, sets of three identical tiles, or runs of consecutive numbers. Points are scored based on hand quality and completion. It features 4-player local multiplayer support via the Game Boy link cable or single-player AI mode. Story and characters are absent as it's a pure game. What makes it stand out is its portable adaptation of the timeless Japanese tile game, allowing quick sessions anywhere on the original handheld.
