About the Game
Legend of Mana is an action RPG released in 1999 for PlayStation. In a world of peace and prosperity, the main characters find a mysterious cave containing a mana tree that transports them through time and space to the world of Fa’diel. The story involves collecting four legendary weapons to fight the Benevodons, monsters of destruction. Gameplay features side-view 2D action combat, a non-linear world map where players place artifacts to generate towns and dungeons, over 60 mini-quests, experience-based leveling for weapons and magic, and co-op multiplayer for two players. Characters include the four protagonists with unique backgrounds, plus colorful monsters and allies. What stands out is its innovative open-world map system, beautiful hand-drawn backgrounds, epic fantasy story, and memorable soundtrack that define the Mana series.
