Mario Party 8

Mario Party 8 for Wii is a party game where players select four characters (Mario, Luigi, Toad, Princess Daisy, Yoshi, Birdo, Princess Peach, Toadette, Wario, Waluigi, Boo, Dry Bones, Blooper, Hammer Bro) and race through five themed boards in the Star Carnival, such as DK's Treetop Temple or King Boo's Haunted Hideaway. Minigames use Wii Remote motion controls for up to 73 options, including 4-player free-for-all, 1-vs-3, and 2-vs-2 formats, plus battle and duel modes. The Star Battle Arena story mode involves dueling five CPUs over five rounds, with rewards leading to a final Bowser fight. What makes it stand out is the heavy motion controls, dynamic board color-based minigame selection, and fun item systems like Coin spaces.
