About the Game
Mushroom Men - Rise of the Fungi is a 2.5D side-scrolling platformer and prequel to the Wii game Mushroom Men: The Spore Wars. Gameplay involves platforming, combat, and item crafting with three character classes: Heavy (melee warrior), Scout (ranged specialist), and Sage (magic/spore user). Story follows hero Pax, a Bolete mushroom man turned sentient, as a meteor's green dust awakens fungi and he joins his village against insect attacks and evil shrooms. Characters are Pax and allies defending the Bolete tribe. It stands out with mechanical defense systems, spore power abilities, and crafting scav items into weapons/tools.
