Mysterious Cities of Gold, The - Secret Paths

The Mysterious Cities of Gold: Secret Paths is a puzzle adventure on the Nintendo 3DS where you play as Esteban, Zia, and Tao on the quest for the lost golden cities, using their unique skills: Esteban unlocks sun-powered mechanisms, Zia slips through tight spaces, and Tao deciphers ancient Mu language with his parrot Kokapetl to fetch distant items. Navigate maze-like levels with traps, infiltration phases, pressure panels, switches, and rocks, switching characters freely or splitting the team, and complete optional objectives like avoiding capture or finding hidden chests for achievements and illustrations. It faithfully adapts the 2012 anime storyline set six months after the first golden city discovery, with Zares the Spanish king's spy pursuing the trio across Asia. What makes it stand out is the seamless use of the three protagonists' abilities for cooperative puzzle-solving in diverse, colorful settings.
