Power Strike 2

Power Strike II is a vertically scrolling shooter where the player pilots the Falcon Flyer aircraft as a Pothunter to shoot down sky pirates. Gameplay features eight increasingly difficult stages with constantly scrolling backgrounds, enemy waves, and obstacles; the player collects Power Chips to upgrade the main weapon, picks up one of seven special weapons (upgradable by repeating the same), adjusts ship speed across three levels, and deploys two spinning satellites that boost weapon power, speed, and spread; a new charged attack is added by holding the fire button and releasing it after a delay, while collecting satellites under fire causes loss of the special weapon but not a life. The story is set in the 1930s near Italy during the Great Depression, where pilots turned sky pirates for survival; the player, a Pothunter, fights these ex-pilots. Characters are the protagonist pilot of the Falcon Flyer. It stands out for its improved visuals, multiple weapon variety, charged attack, satellite mechanics, and option settings in a late but polished Aleste series entry.
