About the Game
Space Invaders is the iconic fixed shooter where players control a laser cannon moving horizontally at the bottom of the screen, defending Earth against descending waves of aliens. The aliens move side to side and downward, speeding up as their numbers decrease, while players hide behind destructible shields. The game features the distinctive alien formations and the bonus UFO that occasionally flies across the top of the screen. This Sega Master System port brought the arcade classic to home consoles with updated graphics while preserving the addictive, challenging gameplay that defined the shooter genre.
