About the Game

Q*bert is an isometric action-puzzle game where players control the orange rabbit-like character Q*bert hopping diagonally across a pyramid of 28 cubes. The core mechanic requires landing on each cube at least once and changing its color to the target color displayed on-screen. Coily the snake and the creatures Wrong-Way and Ugg pursue Q*bert, forcing precise jumps to avoid being chased off the pyramid edges. Multiple game modes include single-player practice and competitive two-player versus. The game features nine levels with escalating difficulty, each containing four rounds, and became a defining arcade hit upon its 1982 debut before the NES port in 1989.
