About the Game
Quad Challenge is a 2D side-view all-terrain vehicle racing game for the Sega Mega Drive. Players select one of four pre-defined ATVs (with varying acceleration, horsepower, and handling) and race against a single AI opponent in split-screen mode. The main modes are Practice (9 tracks) and Championship (16 tracks), featuring turns, jumps, and minor bumps with 3D hill rendering. There is no story or characters—pure arcade-style racing with shifting, braking, and acceleration controls. It stands out as an early console ATV racer ported from the 1989 arcade game Four Trax.
