Turbo OutRun

In Turbo OutRun, the player controls a male driver racing with his girlfriend in a Ferrari F40 from New York City to Los Angeles across the United States. Gameplay involves driving a single fixed road with turbo boosts to increase speed (while managing engine heat gauge to avoid overheating), outrunning police cars by ramming them off-road, and choosing upgrades like Hi-Power Engine, Special Turbo, or Super Grip Tires at sub-goals. A computer opponent in a Porsche 959 chases you, and if you pass it, you win back your girlfriend for big bonuses and a special ending scene.
