About the Game
Rise of the Robots is a fighting game on Game Gear where players control robot fighters battling in matches. The story is set in 2043 where robots run society; players as the ECO35-2 Cyborg (Coton) infiltrate Electrocorp facilities to stop the Supervisor. Main characters include the ECO35-2 Cyborg protagonist with a human brain and the antagonist Supervisor gynoid. System mechanics feature NRG bar draining with damage and PWR bar for power-ups, using punch/kick buttons on the Game Gear. Game modes are single-player story campaign and two-player versus. What stands out is its sci-fi story of robots rebelling and the unique ability to choose enemy droids in versus mode.
