Shining in the Darkness

The player is the silent son of knight Mortred in the Kingdom of Thornwood. After the princess Jessa and Mortred go missing, the player joins a search party and explores a massive 3D labyrinth filled with random enemies and floors. The party includes Pyra and Milo, who join the quest to rescue Jessa and find Mortred while stopping the evil sorcerer Dark Sol (Mephisto) who threatens the kingdom. Gameplay features turn-based battles, inventory management, exploring 3D dungeons with random encounters, character recruitment, and multiple endings based on rescuing villagers. What makes it stand out is the procedural labyrinth design, heavy grinding and exploration, emotional character interactions, and the mix of tragedy and comedy in the story.
