About the Game

Sonic Blast is a 2D side-scrolling platformer where players control Sonic the Hedgehog or Knuckles the Echidna across 15 acts in five zones. Gameplay involves running, jumping, spinning attacks, and character-specific abilities: Sonic performs a double jump while Knuckles glides and climbs walls. The story follows Sonic as a Chaos Emerald shard hits him, prompting a team-up with Knuckles to stop Dr. Eggman from collecting the other five shards and fortifying the Silver Castle. Characters include Sonic the Hedgehog, Knuckles the Echidna, and the villain Doctor Eggman. What makes it stand out is its pre-rendered graphics for the handheld, dual-character switching, and exploration-focused levels.
