About the Game

Space Invaders is the iconic fixed shooter that defined the arcade era and established core shooter mechanics still used today. Players control a laser cannon that moves horizontally at the bottom of the screen, shooting at descending rows of alien invaders that move side-to-side and gradually approach. The aliens fire back, and players must hide behind destructible shields while eliminating all enemies before they reach the ground. Its simple yet addictive gameplay loop, increasing difficulty as fewer aliens remain, and influential score-chasing design made it a worldwide phenomenon.
