Super Hydlide

Super Hydlide is an action RPG for the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis released in 1989. Players control a hero from one of four classes (Fighter, Thief, Monk, Cleric) and explore a fantasy world using melee/ranged attacks, twelve spells, and equipment like flame swords or fairy armor. Key mechanics include a morality meter affecting alignment (Justice/Normal/Evil), affecting NPC interactions and rewards; a 24-hour day-night cycle with hunger (eat twice daily) and stamina loss at night; and item encumbrance limiting carry weight. Gameplay modes are single-player only with open-world exploration, quests, and dungeon crawling. Story follows a hero stopping monsters from destroying the land after a space fissure appears.
