About the Game

Sword Master is a side-scrolling action platformer for NES/Famicom. You play as the knight Sword Master navigating medieval fantasy levels, swinging your sword (forward stab, downward slash, overhead swing) and using your shield to block. Gameplay modes are single-player exploration and combat. The story follows a knight rescuing his princess and kingdom from an evil wizard's curse. Characters include the hero Sword Master and fantasy enemies like wizards and serpents. What makes it stand out is the strategic combat system combining platforming with combat, high production values, and boss fights on the late-stage NES library.
