Tarot Mystery

Tarot Mystery is a single-player non-game that simulates a traditional tarot reading session using the classic Rider-Waite tarot deck. Players input their questions in Japanese, after which the game automatically deals a Celtic Cross spread of 12 cards. Each card provides interpretive text on aspects such as the current situation, challenges, subconscious influences, past issues, hopes, and overall outcome. The game stands out for its focus on divination mechanics with on-screen explanations in Japanese, making it an educational tool for tarot reading rather than traditional gameplay. It uses static card illustrations and no interactive card movement or animation beyond dealing. Yasuaki Fujita composed the soundtrack as his final SNES project. No North American or European release occurred.
