The Last Warrior

In LAST RANKER (Japanese: ラストランカー), you play as Zig, a young warrior from a wandering tribe who leaves his village to climb the ranks in Bazalta, the world's most powerful military organization. The story follows Zig's rise through brutal ranking battles, allying with rebels while battling the invading Evinos and his former comrades. Gameplay features real-time exploration of open zones combined with turn-based RPG combat where you control Zig in tactical battles. You unlock powerful abilities and level up your character while managing a huge global ranking system (up to 95,008 ranks). Stand out mechanics include the ability to claim defeated enemies' ranks for your own progress, deep character customization, and a script by veteran Nojima Kazushige. The game stands out for its manga-inspired action-RPG blend, emotional themes of power and identity, and Capcom polish on the PSP.
