About the Game

VR Troopers is a 2D fighting game on the Sega Mega Drive where players select one of the three VR Troopers - Ryan Steele, J.B. Reese, or Kaitlin Star - and battle against Grimlord's mutants, cyborgs, and monsters in single-player Story Game mode or versus in Battle mode. Gameplay features best-of-three rounds with a timer, special moves unique to each character, and hand-to-hand combat on a battle grid. Story involves the trio being transported into Grimlord's virtual reality game and fighting evil clones and the final boss Kamelion to escape. It stands out for faithful adaptation of the TV show's action heroes with simple controls optimized for the Genesis hardware.
