WCW vs. nWo World Tour

WCW vs. nWo: World Tour is a professional wrestling video game for Nintendo 64. In this game, players take on roles from either WCW or the New World Order factions in matches against international wrestling promotions. Gameplay features AKI's groundbreaking grappling system where all moves begin with holds, and timing, pressure, and context determine weak or strong results for grapples and strikes, including reversals and counters. Players can perform signature taunts to build a Spirit gauge for Special front and rear finishing moves. Game modes include singles, tag team, handicap, battle royal, WCW vs nWo showdown, round-robin tournament, and league challenges where victories unlock hidden championship matches. Roster highlights include real WCW stars like Hollywood Hogan, Sting, The Giant, Ric Flair, Randy Savage, Lex Luger, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Rey Mysterio Jr., Eddie Guerrero, Chris Benoit, Buff Bagwell, and fictional characters from Dead Or Alive and Independent Union factions representing Japanese wrestlers. It stands out for pioneering 3D wrestling controls on N64, authentic pro-wrestling feel with international variety, and innovative mechanics that influenced later games.
