About the Game
Wizardry: Proving Grounds of the Mad Overlord is a dungeon-crawling RPG where players create a party of up to 6 characters from races like humans/elves and classes like fighter/mage. They descend 10 levels of The Maze beneath Trebor's castle to face the wizard Werdna, retrieve a stolen amulet, and defeat monsters in turn-based combat. No saves inside the dungeon, so risk everything or start over. It pioneered the genre with party management, alignment choices, and permanent death options (bodies recoverable).
