Yu Yu Hakusho - Spirit Detective

Yu Yu Hakusho: Spirit Detective is an action-adventure RPG on the Game Boy Advance, loosely based on the manga/anime series. Players guide Yusuke Urameshi (the hot-headed protagonist) through levels reenacting the first 25 episodes, while unlocking playable characters like Kazuma Kuwabara, Kurama, Botan, Ko, and Genkai. Gameplay features side-scrolling combat with punch combos and spirit gun attacks, plus RPG progression with health, magic, and special techniques. The story follows Yusuke's death and revival as a Spirit Detective to protect the human world from demons and yokai, including battles in the Dark Tournament arc and a climactic war in the Demon World. What makes it stand out is the character-switching mechanics and faithful adaptation of the series' fights and story, with level design that captures the anime's excitement on a handheld device.
