About the Game
Battletoads-Double Dragon (Battletoads & Double Dragon: The Ultimate Team) is a crossover beat 'em up developed by Rare and published by Tradewest for the SNES. Players select from five characters: the amphibian Battletoads Zitz, Pimple and Rash, or martial arts experts Billy and Jimmy Lee. They traverse seven levels aboard the giant spaceship Colossus, punching and kicking enemies while performing special moves such as headbutts, wrecking-ball charges, rope swings and Dragon Force techniques. Boss fights at the end of each stage include Abobo, Roper, Robo-Manus and the Dark Queen. Two-player mode requires both to restart if one loses all lives. The game blends the humorous amphibian combat of Battletoads with Double Dragon-style action, featuring comic animations, rotating 3D effects on NES and enhanced graphics on SNES.
