About the Game
Bonkers is an action game for the Sega Mega Drive based on the Disney cartoon. Players control Bonkers D. Bobcat, a bobcat police officer in Toontown, in a competition to become Officer of the Month by capturing four wanted criminals: Harry the Handbag (raccoon gang break-in at museum with donut throws), The Rat (pursuit sequences), Mr. Big (ship dock levels), and Ma Parker (collector's hideout). Gameplay mixes mini-games with 15 repeated rounds each—target shooting with donuts, chases, mazes, and more—plus bonus rounds after every three. Characters include partner Lucky Piquel (mentioned for motivation). It stands out for its variety across toon-style levels, simple yet engaging mechanics like jumps, bomb throws, and rolling dash, and tie-in to the short-lived 1993-1995 TV series.
