About the Game
Cadash is an action RPG platformer hybrid developed and published by Taito for the Mega Drive. Gameplay mixes side-scrolling action with RPG elements: explore interconnected caves (hub areas) connecting kingdoms, collect items, buy gear from NPCs, and engage in battles. Combat is fast-paced hack-and-slash using sword or magic. Story: An evil demon named Balrog kidnaps the princess; you must rescue her across fantasy realms. Playable characters: Fighter (warrior) and Mage (spellcaster); arcade version adds Ninja and Priest. It stands out as one of the earliest platform-RPG hybrids, blending Ys-style exploration with real-time combat.
