About the Game

Hybrid Heaven is a 1999 action role-playing game for Nintendo 64 developed by Konami. Players control Mr. Diaz, a synthetic human-alien hybrid created by the Gargatuan aliens, in a third-person perspective. Gameplay mixes exploration and shooting of robotic enemies in an underground base beneath Manhattan with turn-based unarmed combat, where players learn techniques by being thrown around and save energy for combos (up to 5 times). Battles are puzzle-solving and skillful maneuvering based. The story follows the conspiracy to replace world leaders with alien clones, with player roles switching between Diaz and Johnny Slater. What makes it stand out is its unique hybrid genre blending RPG progression with third-person action-adventure shooting, rare turn-based combat on N64, and conspiracy-filled plot involving genetic engineering and alien invasion.
