Defenders of Oasis

In Defenders of Oasis, players control the Prince of Shadam who must escort the Princess Mariam and stop the Yufurat Empire from reviving the dark god Ahriman. The game is an overhead-view RPG with a party of up to four characters including the Prince, Mariam, Saleem, and the Genie. Combat uses a command-based system where characters can attack, parry, use items, or cast spells, with up to three enemies at a time and revival mechanics. Exploration involves talking to villagers in shops and inns for healing and shopping. Autosave is available. The story follows the Prince's quest to collect three holy rings and battle the empire. It stands out as one of the few original RPGs for the Game Gear with detailed visuals, dynamic soundtrack, and an engaging Arabian Nights-inspired plot.
