About the Game
Duke Nukem is a run-and-gun action shooter that launched the iconic Duke Nukem franchise on Game Boy Color. Players control the muscular, one-liner-spouting protagonist Duke as he battles aliens and robots across various levels. The game features rapid-fire gunplay, power-ups, and level-based progression typical of early 1990s arcade-style shooters. Duke must rescue captured humans while fighting through hostile environments filled with extraterrestrial threats. The portable version adapts the fast-paced action of the original DOS game for handheld gaming. The game established Duke's character as a wisecracking action hero.
