星际魂斗罗

This run-and-gun shooter follows Jay McCray, the son of a scientist working on space colony #428. After terrorists destroy the colony and kill his father, Jay discovers a floppy disk with the colony plans and his father's message to complete the projects. He battles terrorists across various stages, switching between up to six different weapons to progress. Gameplay involves running, jumping, and shooting enemies in side-scrolling levels with multiple bosses. No other characters are featured, and the story is linear with no choice. It stands out as a well-made Contra-inspired title with solid controls and variety in weapons, though sometimes compared unfavorably to Mega Man or Contra.
