About the Game

Exerion is a shooter game for the SG-1000 where the player controls a starship flying over an alien planet surface. The story involves battling waves of bizarre alien amoeba, egg-throwing birds, Pterosaur-like creatures, and UFOs while avoiding projectiles. Gameplay features parallax scrolling backgrounds for depth, ship inertia, and dual weapons: unlimited slow double shot and fast limited single shot. Six levels with repeating enemy waves; it stands out for early pseudo-3D effects and Jaleco arcade origin, ported by Sega. Single-player mode with alternating play possible. Released 1983 in Japan for SG-1000.
