About the Game

Sega-Galaga is a fixed-screen shooter port of Namco's arcade classic. You pilot a white spaceship to destroy endless waves of colorful alien creatures that dive bomb your position from multiple directions. Collect power-ups for double firepower and special abilities like a tractor beam to capture enemy ships and gain allied fire support. The game features 255 stages with progressive difficulty, but the SG-1000 version omits the Challenging bonus stages and compresses enemy patterns due to hardware limits. No story mode exists; it's pure survival and high-score chasing. What makes it stand out is the faithful yet simplified control scheme and iconic Galaga ship design adapted for 8-bit cartridge limits.
