About the Game
Space Invaders is the iconic fixed shooter where players control a laser cannon at the bottom of the screen to destroy descending alien invaders. Waves of aliens move left and right, then descend toward the player; shooting them earns points and progresses to faster waves. There are 1-2 player alternating modes and no story or characters. It stands out as the first fixed shooter and a genre pioneer that popularized the shoot 'em up genre.
