About the Game

CIMA: The Enemy (Frontier Stories in Japan) is a role-playing action game for the Game Boy Advance. Gameplay involves directing party members, including settlers, to solve puzzles and fight CIMA monsters in dungeons. Players switch between characters with different abilities. The story follows Ark J and Ivy, aspiring Gate Guardians, who must protect the innocent from CIMA, aliens that feed on human hope. Key characters are Ark J, Ivy F, Vanrose U, Shelley Y, and the 14 pioneers on a train. What makes it stand out is its innovative party control system, detailed dungeons, lush visuals, and the unique mechanic of managing non-player characters' hope and AI in an adventure narrative.
