About the Game

Guardic Gaiden is an action-adventure and shooter hybrid. Players control System D.P. (alias Miria), a guardian robot that infiltrates the alien planet Naju in 2812 to destroy its self-destruct mechanism before it hits Earth. Gameplay mixes platforming, shooting, and puzzle-solving across multiple worlds (ice, plant, bio, etc.). Story follows the protagonist's mission against alien threats. Characters include System D.P./Miria and various enemies. It stands out for its non-linear structure, innovative level designs, and engaging mix of action and adventure. Released February 5, 1988 for Famicom/NES by Compile (Irem JP publisher).
