About the Game

Gekido is a 3D side-scrolling beat 'em up where players team up with Travis, a private detective, Michelle, Ushi, and Tetsuo to rescue kidnapped girl Angela from the corrupt crime boss Kintaro in a world full of terror and evil deals. Gameplay features fast-paced combos, weapons, Rage Meter for special attacks, and Wipeout Meter for powerful finishes against hordes of enemies in side-scrolling levels. It draws from classics like Streets of Rage and Double Dragon but adds 3D environments, bosses, and fluid animations. Standout elements include unlockable characters (Kobuchi, Gorilla, Kintaro, Angela, Akujin), hidden modes like Shadow Fighter, Survivor, Team Battle, and Street Gang Battle, plus two-to-four player versus fighting. The colorful graphics and music by Fatboy Slim and Apartment 26 enhance the epic martial arts brawler action.
