About the Game
Lemmings is a puzzle-strategy game where players guide a group of lemmings through levels by assigning them one of eight skills: climber, floater, bomber, blocker, builder, basher, miner, or digger. Gameplay involves real-time management to create safe paths to the exit before the timer runs out, with over 140 levels across difficulty modes and special Sunsoft levels. Story is absent with simple objectives to save as many lemmings as possible from traps and hazards. Characters are the lemmings themselves, cute anthropomorphic rodents. What makes it stand out is the innovative skill-assignment system and resource management, influencing puzzle games for decades and released on SNES in March 1992.
