Mechamato 64: The Legend of Umi

Robot Ponkottsu 64: Nanatsu no Umi no Caramel (機甲宝贝64-七海传说) is a turn-based role-playing game set in a flooded world where players explore the seven seas and scattered islands aboard a submarine. Gameplay involves exploring, farming gold and parts to upgrade Robopons, and engaging in real-time 3D arena battles against pirates where Robopons fight directly in large circular arenas. A total of 45 Robopon species are available, including new and classic variants, with stats for HP, energy, attack, defense, and speed that cannot level up. Story follows a young boy who receives a Robopon from his grandfather after being knocked overboard; players can select one of two protagonists (including a fashion-obsessed girl named Guria and a mechanical hobbyist named Palm) and lead a crew of Robopons while switching ships to navigate different sea zones, consuming fuel managed through fishing, battles, and shipboard activities like training or meals. What makes it stand out is its unique blend of Animal Crossing-style ship management, Robopon collection from the original Robopon series, and real-time battle mechanics adapted from prior Game Boy Color entries, with multiplayer support and Transfer Pak compatibility for cross-game Robopon exchanges.
