About the Game
Metal Warriors is a side-scrolling action-platformer run and gun game developed by LucasArts and published by Konami for the SNES in 1995. Players control Lieutenant Stone in 2102, leading a rebellion against the Dark Axis led by dictator Venkar Amon. Gameplay involves piloting six mecha suit types (Nitro, Havoc, Prometheus, Spider, Ballistic, Drache) with unique weapons and mechanics, including backpack power-ups like rocket launchers and gravity invertors. Players can eject to pilot mode with a jetpack and pistol, or switch suits mid-stage. The story includes nine missions with exploration, shooting, and boss fights culminating in a battle against Venkar Amon. Multiplayer split-screen deathmatch mode is available.
