About the Game

Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero is a side-scrolling action-adventure platformer where the player controls Bi-Han (the original Sub-Zero) in a linear story. Gameplay blends fighting controls with platforming and light RPG elements: gain EXP from combos to level up and unlock special moves, manage MP gauge for spell usage, and collect potions in an inventory. Enemies are defeated with command-based specials like freeze blasts and spine-ripping fatalities. The plot follows Sub-Zero hired by sorcerer Quan Chi to steal elemental maps from a Shaolin temple and stop Quan Chi from retrieving Shinnok's amulet that would free the Elder God Shinnok. It introduces characters such as Raiden, Sareena, Kia, and Wind God Fujin. It stands out as the first MK game with side-scrolling platforming and puzzle elements beyond pure beat-'em-up fighting.
