Mr. Penguin's Adventure

In this 1985 Famicom puzzle game, players guide two penguins named Gurin (male, green) and Malon (female, pink) — star-crossed lovers — through a top-down maze to reunite them at the caged heart at the top of the screen. Control one penguin directly while the other moves in exact mirror-image motion; a timer adds tension as you fire spray rays from both to destroy spiders and webs. Levels use a 10x15 grid with a central free cell, unbalanced walls, spiders that speed up near the end, birds that swap positions, and fires that must be avoided. Hidden tiles, power-ups like the Whale Card for invincibility, and bonus stages reward precise timing and coordination. No ending screen exists, and high scores can be saved.
