About the Game
R-Type DX combines two classic R-Type arcade shooters on Game Boy Color: the original R-Type and R-Type II. Players pilot the advanced fighter ship armed with the signature beam weapon and attachable Force device that provides both offensive and defensive capabilities. The game features multiple difficulty levels and both arcade and enhanced modes adapted for the handheld. This collection preserves the challenging vertical shoot-em-up gameplay that defined the series.
