About the Game

Rally Bike is a top-down motorcycle racing game for NES/Famicom. Players compete in 6 increasingly difficult stages plus 2 bonus stages set in the United States, racing against computer-controlled opponents to cross the finish line by passing a required number of competitors. Gameplay includes dodging obstacles, refueling at stations, and using turbo items; in the NES port, a shop allows buying parts to upgrade your bike after each race. A checkpoint system lets you respawn at the last safe point before crashing. The story is not present as it is purely a race, but you advance through North American locations. What makes it stand out is its original arcade design by Toaplan with detailed road, opponents, and fuel management, plus the NES shop mechanic for customization and improved vehicle performance.
