About the Game

Revolution X is a rail shooter on the SNES featuring a mounted light gun where players must shoot waves of enemies while controlling a crosshair. Gameplay includes destroying crates for power-ups such as health items, CDs, powerful laserdiscs, shields, and Skull Bombs that clear the screen of foes. Story involves the New Order Nation regime led by Head Mistress Helga, who has abducted the band Aerosmith; players must locate the hidden band members for bonus wings and the true ending while battling across global locations including the Amazon Jungle, Middle East, and Pacific Rim. Characters prominently feature Helga as the villainous leader, with Aerosmith members as key targets and Kerri Hoskins as the thonged dancer character. It stands out for its original arcade origin with digitized music from Aerosmith songs like Eat the Rich and its unique music-as-weapon theme in a dystopian 1996 setting.
