Solstice II, known in Japan as Equinox, is an isometric platformer-adventure RPG where players control Glendaal to rescue his father Shadax from the evil sorceress Sonia in Galadonia. Gameplay involves exploring 458 rooms across eight underground dungeons, collecting 12 blue orb tokens, solving puzzles, navigating platforms and blocks, fighting enemies, and battling bosses. Modes include dungeon exploration and overworld traversal. It stands out with RPG elements like inventory swapping of weapons and spells, greater action focus, Mode 7 overworld, and fluid character animations.
