Spider-Man Vs. The Kingpin

Spider-Man vs. The Kingpin on the Sega Master System is an action-platformer where players control the web-slinging hero Peter Parker. The story opens with Wilson Fisk, aka The Kingpin, framing Spider-Man for stealing a nuclear bomb that he plans to detonate in New York City within 24 hours. Spider-Man must race against the clock to collect five keys held by his supervillain enemies, starting with Doctor Octopus in his underwater lair, then Sandman in a desert setting, the Lizard in sewers, Hobgoblin in a junkyard, Vulture in an abandoned factory, Mysterio in a movie set, Electro at a power plant, and Venom in a skyscraper. Mid-game, Venom kidnaps Mary Jane Watson, forcing Spider-Man to save his girlfriend while battling more foes like Electro and the Lizard again. The game features side-scrolling levels with web-slinging traversal, punching, and combat against boss-like villains. It stands out for its tie-in to the Marvel comics, incorporating multiple Spider-Man foes and a dramatic plot with time pressure and character rescue elements.
