About the Game

Star Wars Arcade is a 3D action space simulation shooter for the Sega 32X, a port of the 1993 arcade classic. Players pilot an X-wing or Y-wing fighter in first- or third-person view during the Battle of Endor, battling Imperial forces from the original Star Wars trilogy. Gameplay includes three main levels: dogfighting TIE fighters in an asteroid field, assaulting a Super Star Destroyer, and destroying the Death Star. There is also a cooperative mode for two players (one pilot, one gunner). The game uses polygonal graphics and digitized audio samples, with intense space combat and force powers. It was released exclusively on the 32X and showcases the system's enhanced 3D capabilities.
