Tenchu - Dark Shadow

Tenchu: Dark Shadow is a stealth-action game where players control ninja assassins navigating feudal Japan. The game emphasizes infiltration and evasion over direct combat, with players using shadows and terrain to avoid guards and complete contracts. You can approach missions non-lethally or eliminate targets silently with a variety of weapons and tools. The story follows a revenge narrative as operatives of the Azuma clan work to uncover a conspiracy. What sets it apart is its focus on player choice in how missions are executed—speed runners, ghosts, and aggressive players can all succeed with different tactics.
