Virtual Pro Wrestling 64

Virtual Pro Wrestling 64 is a 3D professional wrestling simulation on Nintendo 64 featuring a roster of over 100 wrestlers drawn from WCW and Japanese promotions like New Japan Pro-Wrestling and All Japan Pro Wrestling. Gameplay centers on authentic grappling, striking, and submission mechanics with full-move sets, powerbombs, suplexes, and running strikes, all enhanced with post-match scoring and wrestler attire editing. Single-player modes include tournaments and exhibition matches while multiplayer supports tag teams and battle royals. Story unfolds through career challenges where players manage rivalries, title pursuits, and promotions across global venues. Characters include Sting, Hulk Hogan, Rick Steiner, Chris Benoit, Antonio Inoki, and Mitsuharu Misawa in realistic Japanese and WCW styles. It stands out for its deeper physics-based wrestling engine compared to the English WCW vs. nWo: World Tour counterpart, pioneering CAW elements like attire customization and a more authentic puroresu feel.
