About the Game
Corvette ZR-1 Challenge (also known as Alex DeMeo's Race America) is an arcade-style racing game where the player drives across the United States from Boston to Los Angeles in a 10-leg race, competing against eight AI drivers. Gameplay includes drag races at the start of each leg, split-screen views, and camera shifts to helicopter cams for overtaking. Opponents are fictional racers like Lance Slick (fast starter) and Ito Speedo (expert driver), each with distinct skills and colors in multiplayer. The game stands out for its dynamic road hazards, spin-out risks, and variety of camera angles viewing day and night cities. It is a full coast-to-coast event with perfect racing required for best endings. Multiplayer allows competing against a friend in the same car. The North American version uses Dodge Viper-like cars after losing Corvette licensing.
